Our Next Show: Black Girl Rising, A show curated by Nia Crutcher

A collaborative show featuring work from various black female artists across campus, join us as we marvel at their talent! The show will run from December 2nd - January 10th (Not December 20th anymore!) with the public reception taking place on the 12th from 6pm - 8pm. Gallery Hours will be shared at a later date.


What is IGG?

Intermedia Gallery Group (IGG) is a dynamic, student-run, organization at Eastern. Our mission is to cultivate an inclusive and hands-on environment where students can gain real-world experience that goes beyond the studio. By spearheading exhibitions and curating events, we offer unique, hands-on opportunities to develop skills in art curation, event planning, and creative collaboration, all within a supportive and open environment.

How Can I Get Involved?

Intermedia Gallery Group is always excited to welcome new members, and you don’t have to be an art major to join! The easiest way to get involved is by volunteering as a Gallery Guard for one of our exhibitions, a great way to connect with the community and support our shows. If you’re looking for even more responsibility and creativity, you can take it a step further and become an IGG Board Member, helping to lead and shape the future of our gallery.  

Where is the Gallery Located?

Our gallery is located on the second floor of the Student Center across from the Marketplace. When you walk through the double doors, our gallery will be located on the right in room 236. Look for a sign that directs you towards the gallery!

So, About our Gallery Hours

Being that IGG is a student-ran group, our gallery hours vary based on student schedules and availability. Hours change with each show due to our students tending to their academic responsibilities. Gallery Hours for current shows are posted on our page as soon as possible. The hours are also sent out to the School of Art and posted on our Instagram page.

(PS: Our gallery is closed during semester breaks)

Student Center Gallery Hours

Monday: 10:00am - 6:00pm

Tuesday: 4:00pm - 6:00pm

Wednesday: 10:00am - 6:00pm

Thursday:  4:00pm - 6:00pm

Friday: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Submissions for AJSS are open!

If you are an art student who currently attends EMU then you should apply for AJSS! This is our Annual Juried Student Show where students who enter will be judged by our guest juror this year, Takeisha Jefferson! The three finalists will receive a cash prize! If you are interested in applying, then just press the flyer and fill out the application!
