DOMINICK HANSON

I specialize in vector art but my skills stretch throughout many different media. I work with painting, photography, digital illustration, sculpture, and more. I am heavily influenced by pop culture, mainly video games. My work reflects what I am interested in and what I am passionate about so a lot of my art is heavily influenced by video games. My intention as an artist is to create work that can interest and inspire many people who all share similar passions.

My work can range from a very cartoony style, to more of realism. As I said before, I specialize in vector art, so logo design, icons, and more complex graphic images are some of the works I create. I like using a variety of colors and I like to see my work as something that is appealing to most people that catches the eye. Something someone can look at and be immediately hooked on it, not for the message or story, but simply because it relates to them visually, whether that be in a poster, a patch, or simply on their phone screen.

When creating work. I like to think of it as something I would like personally. What do I think would look cool to see displayed somewhere? What could I create that people would want to see and relate to? That is where my drive comes from. I am not a gallery artist. I do not create because I want people to put my work in shows, I create because I want to share my art on a more personal level. I like to design works for me and for others who come to me and ask for a design with an idea. That is the kind of artist I am and I feel my work reflects that well.
